Today the sun is shining bright and keeping all of us Vancouverites warm and toasty. I've had a pretty eventful week. I have been trying to find myself a job. I have successfully applied to every retail store in Vancouver, I promise you. As of yesterday, I am hired at Nine West as an Assistant Manager. Decent money, cute shoes... couldn't ask for much more. Except for that I had my second interview at Club Monaco yesterday and am patiently awaiting a phone call for them before 9pm this evening. I've been applying there for months and months and now I've had the chance to impress them with the charm I stuffed up my sleeve and I can't help but to think it's not in the cards for me yet. Maybe I should just be content with Nine West. Perhaps it's just the fact that I have been working with shoes for so long that I need some new direction, a new place to set my sights. And what better sight-setting is there than the classic cuts and brilliant splashes of colours at Club Monaco?
On to new things...
I am missing my girly-classmates today. I've spent this entire week like this: wake up, eat some yogurt and granola, head to the gym for an hour, shower, hand out resumes, attend interviews, eat dinner, watch a movie, sleep. Honestly. I wish I could go back in the fall to JCI to learn more about Karl Lagerfeld's silhouettes in the 80's, and why Nylon swatches smell like hair when you burn them (okay, maybe not so much THAT...). I miss hearing Nicole's wacky weekend antics, and seeing Khay's beautifully laid out projects that are so... Khay. I don't know.
Time is a funny thing. All we ever want is more time. More time to sleep in the morning, more time to fit in a workout, more time to see an old friend, more time to kiss him on the cheek at night. But when we get more time, it slips by unnoticed, and the cycle starts over again.
I'm going to go enjoy the sunshine and stop blogging. Join me?
